Lying along South China Sea, Vietnam is a narrow strip in the shape of S letter. With a population of nearly 90 million, Vietnam has a long history, rich and diversified culture. From mountainous northern to the picturesque coastal centre and fertile and flat southern delta, Vietnam has a lot to discover. Officially opened to the travel world in late 1990s, Vietnam has become a popular destination for foreign tourists, from Halong Bay and Sapa in the north, Imperial citadel of Hue or ancient trading town Hoi An in the centre, the white sandy beaches of Nha Trang to the Mekong Delta in the south.
Weather in Vietnam is different in areas, it is warm all year round in the south with rainy and dry seasons, the north is pretty cold in winter and hot and humid in summer, with flood season in July and August.
Most travellers visit Vietnam in dry season, from October to the end of April, travelling all the way down from Hanoi to sai Gon, cross border to Laos and Cambodia....
